| Abstract: | This paper compares the suitability and efficacy of five algorithms for determining the peak position of a laser stripe in a laser ranging system to sub-pixel accuracy. The algorithms are compared in terms of accuracy, robustness and computational speed. In addition to empirical testing, a theoretical comparison is also presented to provide a framework for analysis of the empirical results. |
