Eilidh Info

Old news now, but I'll keep it here incase there are some poor souls that interested in what all the fuss was about.

What happened was that we put an announcement of Eilidh's birth in the Scotsman newspaper, and I included the URL to these pages so that people could see the first photos of her. It must have been a slow news day, as this snowballed and Eilidh had her 15 minutes of fame before she was even a week old! The rest of this page is what I had up way back then.

There are some more recent photos at SpiralArms.net.

Now Back to 1998 ...

I became a Dad in September 98. Here's a picture of a blob! And then a big belly.

Then finally she arrived, Eilidh Brown at 12:02pm 25/9/98, 9lb 2oz. That's Eilidh as in Ceilidh or "ail-ee". Here were some of the first Polaroids.

Dateline 2/10/98

Due to the somewhat surprising interest in our little Eilidh by the Scotsman, and now Sun newspapers, if anyone else spots her in other publications (or TV/Radio!) can you drop me a line at the address below.

We'd also like to ask that the above images are no longer reproduced without our consent.

Thanks to all that have sent us messages of "Congratulations", I'll try and respond individually when I get more time.

6/10/98 Eilidh has also been spotted in The Mirror, The Press And Journal, and most recently in the online Rampant Scotland Newsletter, which was brought to my attention by someone in New Zealand!.

20/10/98 Looks like the wave of fame and fortune has finally passed. Eilidh appeared in a couple more publications: The West Lothian Courier, Lothian World and Student. I was almost on the Fred McAuley Radio Show, but I missed the boat on that one, he wasn't even doing the show, someone else was standing in for him.

So that's probably all for now. Once I get used to the lack of sleep I'll try and scan and post some more pictures of Eilidh for those of you still visiting.

1/4/99 At last a couple of new pictures. She's about 5 months old in these. A big smile and a fancy one.
