Abstract:In this paper we argue that the technologies of natural language generation and hypertext can be usefully combined, resulting in an enhancement to both processes. This combination of natural language generation and hypertext is proposed for use in the Intelligent Documentation Advisory System (IDAS). Two prototype systems have been implemented which explore some of the issues discussed in this paper.
