This talk will present some on-going work on the Rapid Knowledge Formation project on several topics: process repesentation in Cyc; integrating an external planner with Cyc; and, examples of process models and issues arising. Cyc is the KBS proposed by Doug Lenat, and developed for over 15 years. An open-source version of Cyc is due for release, potentially widening interest in the theory of common-sense reasoning it contains.
