Common Ground for Brokering

Stephen Potter

In this talk, I intend to say a little about one of the issues raised when constructing agent architectures, namely the need to adopt some useful common language for, on the one hand, advertising competences and, on the other, requesting services.

In the context of the AKT project, and the brokering work presented at previous meetings, we are investigating the use of generalised descriptions of knowledge transformations as the basis of a common language. I will present some preliminary ideas about what this language may look like.
