Focused Requirements Elicitation Dialogues

Renaud Lecoeuche

In this informal talk, I will present a system that produces simple focused dialogues, i.e., a system that takes into account users' attentional capability while producing texts. This system is used as the front-end of a simple requirements elicitation system working on WWW site design. I have been developing both systems in the last past months.

The presentation will mostly deal with the production of text. After a brief overview of the system architecture, I will show the "life cycle" of communications (generation, selection, realisation). Related issues such as mixed-initiative will be discussed. Finally a dialogue example will be given.
