I shall describe an initial prototype for handling tasks/query brokering for distributed problem solvers. This uses a streamlined version of UPML for specifying the capabilities of problems solvers; and for describing ontologies and bridges between ontologies. The current prototype uses the Aberdeen "AKT-bus" for managing asynchronous message passing. I shall explain a little of how this works, since it is highly relevant ot our research on the AKT project.
