By and large, folk in our group produce theses which examiners like, but occasionally we make errors which require correction. Much of the blame for these errors lies in mistakes in structuring the thesis. I would like to discuss how we can avoid making these sorts of mistakes and make it easier to write theses by identifying standard patterns of thesis structure.
