This session will describe our work on communicating knowledge about aviation accidents by using web site synthesis. Web site synthesis was useful in generating web material for a past web experiment on causal perception of aviation accidents. We have started thinking about our next experiment, which aims to investigate how human web builders select and use parameterized web components to present the causal relations on the web, particularly how they map between the accident events and features of web components. We shall discuss our preliminary design of the second experiment and its significance (together with the first experiment) in communicating knowledge about aviation accidents by using web site synthesis.
