Dynamic Ontology Refinement
Fiona McNeill
In any dynamic and complex domain, parts of an agent's original ontology
may be incorrect, obsolete or missing and hence require updating. We have
been investigating how ontology refinement can be used in cases where an
agent executing plans encounters plan failure, using this
failure and communication with external agents to guide the refinement process.
We discuss our work so far, with particular emphasis on our
preliminary ideas about agent communication.
