The Advanced Knowledge Technologies IRC is not specifically about agent systems. It does, however, have interests in knowledge services which operate in distributed environments. I shall discuss the relationship between this and agent systems, showing how a scenario from AKT (on coordinating a workshop) can be understood as the application of an agent syststem concept (electronic institutions).
