Using LCC protocol as communication strategy in Eco-grammar

Adela Grando

Grammar systems are a subfield of Formal Language Theory based on the use of multiple grammars working in parallel and sharing results through communication to generate a common language. We focus our attention on a particular type of grammar system, namely eco-grammar system, that can be used as a formal framework for modelling multiagent systems. We present eco-grammar systems not as language generators but as problem solvers that can adopt LCC protocol to specify the interactions and  cooperation required between agents (grammars) to solve problems related with language generation. We plan to study the possible benefits of this approach.
