Abstract:Behaviour-based decomposition of robot tasks has led to some interesting and successful devices. The tasks in question have been such that the robot could set its own pace. In contrast, we have been working on the description and implementation of fast, dynamic, manipulation tasks in Behaviour-based terms and describe an experiment in Behaviour-based control of a two-link ballistic arm which performs fast dynamically critical tasks.
