Abstract:Rhetorical Structure Theory has arisen in recent years as a useful tool in the analysis of natural language texts. However, due to the lack of formality of RST and its heavy reliance upon human intuition, it has proved resistant to automation. We have implemented a system which makes use of discourse markers and features of tense and aspect to automatically produce RS trees for fables.
