| Abstract: | The main aim of this project is to provide an information system to provide intelligent support to chemical plan designers. It is based on the exploratory model of design. The project aims to minimise accidents caused in industry due to plant modifications, by making explicit the original design constraints and intentions by means of recording the design history. Particular attention is paid to represent safety constraints so tat no design constraints are violated due to plant modifications. After all, a good design is a safe design. |
